Dubai gained 186 new property developers between January and July 2026, roughly 25 new companies a month.
Where the licences came from
The Department of Economy and Tourism issued 180 of the licences. The rest came from Trakhees (3), the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SMEs (2) and Expo City Dubai (1).
What it means
The influx is expected to increase competition and widen the choice of projects for buyers. For buyers, it also makes checking a developer's track record and escrow arrangements more important.
